I sit with my porch
with a warm summer morning
watching with the birds and squirrels
as they feed from the
suet and seed filled feeders.
I eat my breakfast,
an omelet with four jumbo eggs,
a slice of swiss,
slivers, two each,
of avocado and tomato,
guacamole spread on a toasted English muffin.
I live at this moment in my life
where I meet a comrade
in everything I do.
I am wit my porch
as much
as this breakfast bunch
of cardinals, crows, thrashers,
black fox squirrels
and a solitary hare hiding
beneath the bush.
My actions have more than mere meaning.
My soul is
with
the soul of this porch
as it is with the wrold
in a community with each part.
This is palpable in my heart.
I am with everything
and all are with me,
together.
