1372 FIRE BURNS WHERE THE WIND BLOWS 09-12-26

Humanity is addicted.

Habituated to the horrors of our own creations.

We are consumed

by the wild, willfulness of the flames,

by the power we have to create them

and the power they exert over us.

We listen to whispered temptations.

Then we watch, in fear,

as our self-ignited fires spread.

While in the backdraft, we are immolated,

consumed by them.

We, the burning match,

and kindling.
