#794 Through older eyes… 9-8-18

During our years together,
I’ve witnessed her become
a richer beauty.

A smoother, fuller, warmer, kinder
vision,
emanating, more now, from within.

As time reshapes her form,
my eyes grow more accustomed
to her light.

I begin to understand
that what I see
is not limited by finitude.

Rather, there grows in me
a gratitude
for what I’m learning in her embrace.

Our fatal life
is no confinement to us,
rather, a highway through forever.

Her green-gray eyes
flash joy-shine,
enlightened by wisdom.

Her touch
growing surer
through her years of understanding.

Her Love
caresses me,
deep down in my soul.
