Protect us not, O’ God
from the vigor of Your blessings.
Buffet us with the wind of Your Word.
Drown us in Your laughter’s joyous tears.
Astound us with Your power
through all our earth-bound years.

Then,

coffined in ever flowing forgiveness,
bury us deep in loving kindness.
Fling our souls far into an eternity
drenched in Your Divinity.

Then,

in unalloyed peace,
may we abide,
as your brood,
gathered beneath your spear wounded side,
exhausted,
by the ecstatic passion of our bridegroom,

forever.

Let it be so.
