reasons for rimes in these times March 26, 2016

March 25, (9 months till Christmas, Easter weekend) 2016

Greetings Folks…

These poems are for you to enjoy, love or get sick over.
They were hand written in a stack of notebooks on a bookcase in my study. When my former seminary professor said, “You know, Ken, they die with you if you don’t get them on something permanent…” I figured the time had come to overcome my computer phobia and get them out of the books and on to the web.

My daughter showed me how and typed the first archive for me back in Jan., 2014.

Nancy and I have been in North Carolina for the winter, so
I used the time to get the rest of the poems onto this blog
now called “Poems By Ken”.

So, about 45 years of poems are here on your screen. The
latter half have dates… the early ones are in no particular order except for the first one, “Knitting”, which, given my past, is my personal favorite.

Any implied connection to any person alive or dead is purely
intentional but carries a feasible deniability upon which I
will fall at the suggestion of a law case!

Dr. “A” is the Professor who made the suggestion. We’ve been conversing on and off since 1973, much to my betterment. I will always cherish Docs gift of wise council and great humor. Thanks, Wil.

All spelling and grammar errors are my fault, as some of my former English students may remember as par for the course.

My much loved and often mentioned, obliquely or directly,
wife, Nancy, helped with everything from technology to inspiration, for which I express my happily married gratitude.
And to Cara for setting up this Blog. Thanks.
