1325 GETTING TO THE BOTTOM OF IT 01-31-26

6 quartered strawberries.

2 sliced bananas .

5 soup-spoon-scoops of blue berries.

1 BIG tupper-ware-bowl of Cheerios garnished with animal-food-cereals,

all drowned in lactose-free-milk,

maybe mixed-in with a moushed, mashed, triple-berry muffin

for when all the solid-crunchy- stuffs been eaten.

THAT’S breakfast for me!

The best part is at the bottom of the bowl.

In the shallow puddle of the remains:

fruits, muffin, milk and grains

mixed to be slurped slowly by lifting the bowl,

tilting what’s left,

carefully to my lips…

A breakfast Smoothy!

At the bottom of the bowl, or the barrel, or the pot of any meal

where the strongest of the booze,

or the tastiest of the stew

or the thickest of the soup

wait for all who know when

there’s no time left for any more,

so they drink to the dregs,

dig into the remnants of the recipe

slurp the slops remaining.

For the best bits are always at the end…

before all’s that’s left to do

is clean the bowl and spoon,

store everything, secure in their containers,

into the neatly ordered pantry

and belch.

Well….OK!!

Maybe a juicy clementine or a crunchy honey-crisp for dessert.

But…either way,…

after…

(You know what I’m talking about.)

All is neatly stowed in long rows of well marked boxes,

having nothing left to do but rest, digest

and wait

for the coming Feast.
