1238 THOUGHTS FROM AN OLDIES BINGO GAME 03-01-25

Oh! How we know

the songs and the bands!

Two notes into “WILD THING!” we all shout together,

“You make my heart sing!”

(or was it “ring”?)

with arms swaying, hands waving….

Remember the dances?

The kisses,

(when we weren’t sure how but were ready to learn!)

The hot night romances!

Man!

We’re the Woodstock Generation!

Aged, considerable, gray haired, and creaky.

But, Damn! we’re still able!

Filled with fine memories

of Hendricks anthem and Joplin!

(Janice, not Scott! We’re old, but not antiques!!!)

Not James Brown’s “SEX PISTOLS”

but we can still,

“Get by…(or was it high?) with the help of a friend…”

and it don’t take much to get us to

“…Twist again…. like we did last summer…!”

So, Hell!

Gross out the grand kids!

Let ’em think what they think!

When we hear Tina roar, “Proud Mary keep on turning!’

it’s with us Grand Folks in mind!

Sure, we all have to go,

sometime…

but we’ll all come back,

together, again

when the MC “in the sky with diamonds”

shouts,

“BINGO!”
