1234 “…an’ da walls come tumblin’ down…” 02-18-25

The lovely Israeli archeologist,

her sabras skin shinning in the desert sun.

She kneels beneath the canopy while she works.

With her tooth brush in her right hand,

her little whisk broom in her left,

she sweeps between the stones, bones and sand

surrounding the fallen, ancient walls.

Thus, she proves her Torah true.

The evidence stretches before her.

Yes!

There was an ancient city named Jericho.

But the real evidence she searches for,

the proof she wants,

cannot be found,

(though so many books proclaim:

“THE SPADE CONFIRMS THE WORD!!)

But by the substance of her faith,

she still believes God led Joshua,

his army circling the fortress city.

Jehovahs breath in the sounding horns

blowing down the walls!

Thus, the Children of Israel claim the Promised Land.

Their ownership, rooted in their faith,

(Like a foretaste of Luther!)

believed, but never proven…
