It’s the vanishing white guy!!

It’s Robert Young who doesn’t know best.

It’s Atticus Finch who’s been outed as a man of his time.

And todays white guys miss him

and todays white ladies miss him more

(though they won’t admit it in any garden club talk….)

And so, when it came time to vote,

it’s no surprise who got their vote!

That grumbly, rumbled,

Dear ol’ daddy white guy,

who, yes, has his faults,

Bless His Heart!

But he’s our father,

who’s an SOB,

but he’s OUR SOB

and better the devil ye know

than the woke world ye know not of!

And, somehow, he stands for what we think we remember…

all that was good, back then…

What climate change?

What inequity?

What Tulsa, Wilmington or Wounded Knee?

What’s CRT?

At last we have a leader we can look down on

as we follow him backwards

to a comfortable familiar that never was,

to rediscover a world we never had to lose…

It seems the way we think we were,

but weren’t,

is the way we want to be.

History is what we say it was

and White is Right and has the Might….

So pay no attention to the man behind the curtain…
