1201 A HEART LIKE APPLE PIE (Maybe a song. Maybe a spoof. I’m not sure) 08-30-24

I met a girl on the hiking trail.

She had a heart like apple pie.

She smiled at me and I smiled at her

and we’ve never said good bye!

To say hello is always fine

though most farewells are sad.

But she holds my hand

and I hold hers, still

and I’m her children’s Dad.

You never know where your path may go

or how long may be your journey.

But with her with me

and our GRAND KIDS, (THREE!!!),

I’ll always want to see!

I think we’re a good example

of what happiness can be.

And when we get to heaven above,

we’re still gonna be in love.

So if you meet a smiling girl with a heart like apple pie,

DON’T MISS YOUR CHANCE!

TAKE NO SECOND GLANCE

AT ANOTHER ON THE TRAIL!!!

Just take her hand and stroll away.

In love you’ll always stay!
