You ought to know,

asking a poet if he’d like to,

“…read a poem or two…”

is like asking a 19 year old

virgin

if he’d like to,

“Have a go…”

So,

don’t ask unless you mean to hear

orgazmic poetry ejaculating through the night.

Fucking can come later….
