1063 THE BUDDHA AND RICE 05-09-22

What has The Buddha

to do with rice?

Rice,

The Buddha?

Water

takes the shape

of the bowl.

Without,

it spills to the ground.

Dries in the dirt.

Without rice,

Buddha dies.

Turns to dust

as iron to rust..

Blown away by a breeze,

by a breath,

into air,

into thin air.

And where is

The Buddha then?

Rice

for purpose,

needs The Buddha

Sidhartha,

to be Buddha

needs rice.
