are camoed “C’s”.
The mere assumption of your whiteness
is all you need to succeed.
The “Best”
is graded on the curve
with its bar set low.
What then is average?
What if,
(God help us)
superior menas only
“available at the time”!
Since the system has been at play
for centuries,
how can we determine
what heaven might be
if all we’ve known is the vacancy
between this ugly world
and gates of pearl?
