The sunset to sunset day
with the added ingredient of
of The Holy
folded into the mix
so we may live through time
now, with the hint of Heaven,
both for those who remember
and for those who have forgotten
what we all once knew,
a day of soft stirring,
like the humming of bees and breezes
in a sunlit springtime meadow,
a longing in the soul for what is coming
to each:
an eternity of Sabbaths,
the last creation of God.
Hi Kenny, thanks for this beautiful reminder. We live in a crazy and hurried world; one that if God had not given us that Holy Day, we would probably work ourselves to death. Although Jesus is our eternal rest, someday it will feel more real. Take care. 🙂
