Why Reunions?

Well,

they are for

bringing hugs and tears

from, to and for

long lost friends,

co-workers, students, pals,

to renew long-past friendships….

Well,

sorry.

That’s bullshit.

We, after 30, 50 years,

really, hardly remember

the body we embrace,

the hand we shake.

Who is this person?!!!!

In Truth,

those tears,

those reassuring hugs

those bone crushing hand shakes

from that weight lifting son of a bitch

we really didn’t like all that much in High School,

are for all of us who

made it

through the battle fields

passing time creates,

and still!

we remain.

So,

Congratulations.
