When He said, “It is good”,
did He mean all of it,
including the temptation:
the apple, snake and tree?
If it wasn’t All Good.
why declare it so?
Was it a mistake?
If He is mistaken,
He isn’t God.
(Right?)
So how was it all good?
Its goodness resides
in its role as option,
creating decision, a test.
For Freedom without choice
is a deception.
As He created Freedom,
He created the three:
apple; snake; tree…
and His Cross,
already hewn,
waiting on Golgotha.
And it is all good.
One part of me absolutely agrees, and finds this quite beautiful. But there’s this other part, that also believes in predestination, but doesn’t quite know what to do with it.
