644 December 21 12-21-16 (go to 580 for key word search)

Tonight is the longest night.
And just after the longest darkness
begins the coming of the light.
Spinning on her axis,
Earth,
degree by degree,
second by second
shifts her face toward the sun.
Thus, at the start of Winter,
Spring has begun.
In her darkest hour,
Nature
begins the labor of
rebirth.

Just some ruminations
on the Advent of the Son.

Why fear despair
when at its fiercest,
is its surcease
and our release?

He does not delay His coming,
rather, until the fullness of His time,
gathers us tighter in His embrace,
while with His love,
our pain,
erase.
