Calling the faithful to prayer.
Kissing the Torah scrolls.
The Sunday sermon.
The Communion chimes.
These are the rituals of belief.

Skin heads with spray paint.
“No rag heads cross our shores!”
Bombs in a country church.
A gun in a Bible study.
Decapitation.
This is what we see, every day.

Whence cometh these evils
when the weight of belief,
in trappings, rituals and
the faith of the faithful
might, instead, bring the world
to share faiths, families,
cultures, hearts and
everyones Gods.

Why does Evil prosper
on the other side of the scale?
