407 Ozarks in Manhattan 1 May, 2011

My father, a widower, married
my wife’s mother, divorced,
in Trinity Church last year.
They are not so old…
SURPRISE!!!!!
They had a son, Michael the 3d.
(Grandpa was the 1st, Dad the 2nd,
I am Kenneth Michael but Dad
could not resist this time around)
Little Mickey was born happy and healthy
to HIS Parents,
to OUR PARENTS,
causing a few arching eyebrows among
our family around SoHo and New Jersey
and some familial contortions of my own.
I am my step-brother to my cousin.
My wife, my step-sister, is pregnant.
Our child, a daughter,
we discovered via sonogram today,
will have an uncle whose aunt she will be…
And, given the convoluted proclivities of our family,
SUPPOSE, just suppose, in, say,
20 years or so,
they suddenly look each other in the eye
and sigh, “Hmmm! Oh My!!”

Their parents will do double duty
as their in-laws.
And how will she introduce her spouse?
” I’d like you to meet my husband,
Uncle Mike.”!?!?!?!?!
