Surprise!!!!
We don’t give a 3 year old
a Happy Birthday party,
piled high with enough presents
to bury the toddler 3 times over
for nothing.
Know why we do it?
Because we’re 3 years older since
she was born and in
20 and 3 years, she will have
a 3 year old and we will be
23 years older then or maybe
dead
and we don’t like to think of
a time when we are not.
So, we give us a happy 3d year party
because we made it 3 more years
and maybe we will make it 23 more.
So, what the hell!
Bury the kid in gifts,
eat to much cake.
I’ll take 23 more big sweet slices,
thank you,
more if I can chew them with
my own teeth
and 88 ain’t a bad age to be
buried with Bambi and Barbie.
