Josephs light blew out last night
making Mary a single mom and Jesus,
fatherless, except, of course, for God.
Then, three nights later, Mary’s light went,
making Jesus an orphan, except, of course,
for God who is all things in all people,
who are One,
who created us in Their image,
male and female They created us
as They are: E pluribus Unum,
(for the most of us who can’t spell in Latin).

For this retired English teacher,
a grammatical confusion is a
theological certainty,
maybe.
