228 Green leaves in Autumn

Green leaves fallen
lie with gold and russet,
woven into Natures
early winter blanket.
Green leaves fallen
had not the chance to
change their coats,
to slowly blend their colors
with Autumns golden light.
Green leaves fallen,
mixed in yellows, rusts, reds,
bring a moments pause
to my frozen leaf stroll
and meloncoly mourning
for green leaves, dead.
