104 morning song

Morning bird songs
don’t hail the sun,
they mourn passing night.

terror’s revealed in new light
rigor’s required for living the day.

spear the worm
quick!
fear the hawk!
hide!

Mornings bird songs:
“Oh! Oh!
for the songless darkness
passed in peace,
soft dreams.
Oh! Oh!
for the silent night”
